Assessor Neysa Fligor is hosting an inaugural 2026 State of Property Values event on Monday, Oct. 19.
The event will feature the launch of the 2026 Assessor’s Annual Report. Assessor Fligor will provide an in‑depth look at how property assessments both reflect and shape the economic health of Santa Clara County. This event is free and will be held at The Domes in San Jose. It will bring together regional leaders and subject‑matter experts to explore the key factors influencing property values. “It is a great opportunity for residents and taxpayers to gain a deeper understanding of how property assessment data reveals the trends and forces shaping Santa Clara County’s economic landscape. This information is valuable to all sectors in Santa Clara County.” Assessor Fligor stated.
Event organizers say attendees will gain valuable insight into:
• Why some properties have increased in value while others have declined
• How housing and commercial market fluctuations – and the rise of AI/Data Centers – are affecting the assessment roll
• The relationship between business personal property, inflation and tariffs
• How property assessment offers a window into the broader economic vitality of Santa Clara County
The event starts at 9:30 a.m. with breakfast, check‑in and social networking. The 90-minute formal program starts at 10 a.m., featuring a welcome address, an overview of the annual report, a panel of property assessment experts, and a forward‑looking discussion on the future of Silicon Valley. A Q&A session will follow, and attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance.
