Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Office detectives have released images of a man robbing a local bank earlier this week.

At approximately 3 p.m. Tuesday (July 19), a man wearing a black baseball cap, glasses and a black coat entered the Wells Fargo at the intersection of Foothill Expressway and Homestead Road and demanded cash in a note he handed to a bank employee.

The note indicated he was armed, according to Sgt. James Jensen.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian man in his late 30s or early 40s. He is approximately 6 feet tall and has a medium to heavy-set build.

Anyone with information about the crime or the suspect is asked to call Detective Justin Harper at (408) 808-4631.

The bank is located in Cupertino but is in a shopping center that borders south Los Altos. Businesses there include Trader Joe’s market, Foothill Produce and Chain Reaction Bicycles.
