Council vets citywide smoking ban

The Los Altos City Council is scheduled tonight to discuss banning smoking in the city’s outdoor public spaces. Councilmembers in June made it illegal to smoke in the city’s parks. At least two dozen other California cities ban smoking in all public places. The meeting is scheduled tonight at 7 p.m., 1 N. San Antonio Rd.
