As the Los Altos School District Board of Trustees decides how to spend the $150 million in bond funds from Measure N, district officials have scheduled an April 22 community forum on enrollment growth and facility plans.
The goal of the forum, according to the district, is to “collect new ideas and answer questions as (the board) narrows down options and finalizes solutions to address enrollment growth in our schools.”
News of the forum was sent to the community via an advertisement in the April 15 edition of the Town Crier and an email sent to parents Monday (April 13).
“With regard to facilities and Measure N, we have been hard at work identifying the best solution for the continued growth of our school district,” Superintendent Jeff Baier said in his email to parents. “This includes the hiring of a real estate broker to engage in potential property acquisition.”
The meeting is slated 6:30-8:30 p.m. April 22 at the Los Altos Youth Center, 1 N. San Antonio Road. The district asks those who plan to attend to RSVP via email to [email protected].
