June 18, 1924 – June 4, 2026

Myron Herbert Weisbart, known as “Mike”, died on June 4, 2026, at Forum Rancho San Antonio, Cupertino California. Born June 18, 1924. to Herbert and Frances Weisbart, he was raised in New York City, NY, was a graduate of Columbia College and graduated from Columbia Medical School in 1950. He practiced internal medicine and cardiology for 40 years at Kaiser Permanente in Santa Clara County, in charge of the Sunnyvale Clinic for much of that time. He was an extremely competent physician who enjoyed his work immensely.

Married over 45 years, the love of his life was his second wife Barbara “Bobbi”. Together they enjoyed traveling, dancing and tennis. He is survived by his sons, Mark and David, his step- daughters Lynn Paietta, Marti-Martin Kuntz, and Sandi Garcia, and their children and grandchildren.

Mike was a gentle, polite, easy-going, soft-spoken man. Everyone liked Mike. He was one of the least aggressive people you would ever meet. As a father, he never imposed his will on us. He raised us the right way and was there when you needed him. Life’s little problems seemed not to get under his skin.  He simply enjoyed living his life, day to day.

As a child, I discovered his silver star and purple heart tucked in the back of a drawer, what a surprise, given his temperament and personality. I knew he was in the War, but it was never a topic of conversation.  As I read many years later, under heavy fire, a stubborn medical aidman, although painfully wounded, refused to abandon his men until all the casualties were cared for.  Quiet, unwavering courage found in a gentle soul, when it mattered most.

A good man, a long life well earned, a life well lived.
