Elise Michelle Tarens and Brent Daniel Mittelstadt were married May 23 at Albright College in Pennsylvania, following the bride’s college commencement.
The bride is the daughter of Melanie Johnson and John Hawker of Mountain View and Michael Tarens of Saratoga. She graduated from Los Altos High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Albright College. She is employed at Good Eatz Green Cafe in West Reading, Pa.
The groom is the son of Mary and Mark Mittelstadt of East Windsor, N.J. He graduated from Hightstown High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in philosophy, English and music business from Albright College, where he was selected as a Jacob Albright Scholar. He earned master’s degrees in applied ethics and bioethics from Linköping University, Sweden, and Utrecht University in The Netherlands. He is pursuing a doctorate in ethics of medical technologies and health monitoring at the De Montfort University.
The couple plan to live in Leicester, England.
