The brick building at 176 Main St. in Los Altos that was the longtime home of Bank of the West retired its green branding for a red and white BMO logo Sept. 5.
BMO, the U.S. extension of the Canadian BMO Financial Group, announced the acquisition of all Bank of the Wests in February. The organizations were completely integrated over Labor Day weekend, according to Lucas Seiler, senior BMO public relations leader.
The branding change was made at locations across the country over the past month.
BMO’s acquisition of the bank included retention of Bank of the West’s nearly 1.8 million management, commercial and business banking customers, according to a BMO press release issued in February.
BMO also provides personal banking to customers.
“BMO’s Los Altos location is a full-service branch offering a mix of services such as everyday banking, investments and lending products, as well as personal, business and commercial banking,” Seiler said.
The Los Altos location is the first of BMO’s more than 1,000 U.S. locations to open.
BMO has been in operation for 200 years. BMO is the “eighth largest bank in North America by assets” and a “top 10 U.S. bank,” Seiler said.
