Downtown Los Altos is bustling as spring makes its entrance. With branches turning green with new leaves and a nice warmth settling in, there are a number of things going on – and changes brewing – here’s a little update.
Businesses
The Clickaway Los Altos Service Center, previously located at 357 Main St., has closed. The business is now directing customers to another location in Campbell along Winchester Boulevard.
The restaurateurs of Little Blue Door, a restaurant in State Street Market, are nominated for outstanding restaurateurs in the James Beard Foundation’s 2026 Restaurant and Chef Awards. In addition to Little Blue Door, restaurateurs Srijith Gopinathan and Ayesha Thapar, Cal-India Collective, operate restaurants in San Francisco, Menlo Park and Palo Alto.
The James Beard Foundation is a self-described destination for gastronomical and restaurant excellence, according to the foundation’s website. It aims to celebrate leaders and wavemakers in the independent restaurant industry.
Downtown events
It’s almost Downtown Los Altos Farmers Market season. The farmers market returns to State Street from 4-9 p.m. Thursday, April 30. The market is held at the same time every Thursday, rain or shine, until Oct. 15. While the list of vendors continues to grow, attendees can expect familiar vendors including Apricot King Orchards and Bay Area Orchids.
The market is a partnership between the Los Altos Village Association and the Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association.
