Several locations in Los Altos will be having Super Bowl watch parties Sunday when the San Francisco 49ers take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
State Street Market in downtown Los Altos is offering a “family friendly” event, beginning 3 p.m. Sunday, featuring drinks from Murdoch’s Bar at happy-hour prices.
“Fans can watch the game on one of our four large bar TVs and our huge projector screen,” noted Shannon Geary of Los Altos Community Investments. “The food hall offers a kid-friendly venue to cheer on the Niners with face painting by local favorite, Twinkie.”
Courtyard by Marriott hotel on El Camino Real will have a watch party featuring $6 draft beer, complimentary popcorn and pizza, said spokeswoman Kathy Burns, along with football trivia and bingo activity.
Other potential places to watch locally, if you’re not at home or at friends’ houses:
• Le Banc bar, 366 Main St., known for its casual atmosphere, will have a DJ on hand and happy-hour pricing on drinks;
• Redwood Grill, 680 Fremont Ave., in Rancho Shopping Center;
• The Post, 295 Main St., downtown Los Altos;
• State of Mind, 101 Plaza North, downtown Los Altos.
