Three Los Altos residents are displaced following a structure fire that damaged part of their home late Sunday (Jan. 20) evening. No one was injured in the blaze.
Santa Clara County Fire Department firefighters dispatched to a two-story house on the 400 block of Van Buren Street at approximately 11:45 p.m. Sunday, according to a department press release. They found smoke and flames emanating from the roof, and they managed to control the blaze by 12:14 a.m. Monday.
The fire caused damage to the home’s second floor and attic, and there was smoke and water damage throughout, the release stated.
The residents were not home at the fire, and its cause is under investigation, according to the release.
The Los Altos Police Department, the Palo Alto Fire Department, the Fire Associates of Santa Clara Valley and PG&E assisted with the operation.
