Mountain View Police detectives are searching for a suspect who used a handgun to rob pharmacy employees of various medications Saturday.
The incident occurred at approximately 8:30 a.m. at the Walgreens located on the 100 block of East El Camino Real, according to police reports. The suspect, described as an adult male, walked to the back of the store and brandished a handgun. He then jumped over the pharmacy counter and forced employees to place medications in a bag.
The suspect ran from the store in an unknown direction before responding police officers arrived at the scene, police reports stated.
The suspect is approximately 5 feet, 10 inches tall with a thin build, police reported. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, a white baseball cap, black sunglasses, a white surgical mask, gray pants, white latex gloves and dark shoes. His ethnicity could not be determined because clothing obscured his entire body.
