Bridgework in Loyola Corners will close a portion of Fremont Avenue between A Street and Miramonte Avenue this week.
From 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, motorists heading toward Loyola Corners from Foothill Expressway will be detoured onto Miramonte Avenue. Southbound Miramonte drivers will be detoured onto A Street to reach Fremont Avenue. Crews will place detour signs to direct traffic accordingly.
The closure enables a large concrete truck to deliver and pour concrete for the Santa Clara County Loyola Avenue Bridge Widening Project. The project widens the bridge to provide each direction with a through lane, left-turn lane, bike lane and sidewalk.
