One Los Altos Hills resident suffered a minor injury and another had a $350 golf-range finder stolen by armed robbers on a Pebble Beach golf course June 6.

The incident happened just before 5 p.m. at The Links at Spanish Bay on 17-Mile Drive, according to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office. The two Los Altos Hills men were playing a round with two Rocklin residents when a pair of teenagers with a knife approached them and demanded money.

“One of the victims fought with the suspects and received a minor cut to his ear,” according to a sheriff’s office news release. “A golf-range finder was taken from another victim.”

The teenagers fled north on foot, but sheriff’s deputies and Pacific Grove Police Department officers apprehended them approximately a mile away at Asilomar Beach, according to the news release. Officers recovered the missing range finder in the suspects’ Honda Accord.

The sheriff’s office arrested Greenfield resident Aurelio Camilo Bautista, 18, and a 15-year-old male whose name is being withheld due to his age. Officials charged Bautista with robbery and attempted robbery; he is being held on $80,000 bail at the Monterey County Jail. The juvenile suspect is being detained at Monterey County Juvenile Hall.
