The parcel tax, a renewal of the current tax expiring in 2015, would charge single-family homeowners $33.66 per year for another 20 years. The total $6.2 million tax pays for longer library hours and a range of services, from children’s services to updating books collections. The measure needs a two-thirds majority to pass.
Ballots can be dropped off at the following offices during business hours: Los Altos City Hall, 1 N. San Antonio Road; Los Altos Hills Town Hall, 26379 Fremont Road; and Mountain View City Hall, 500 Castro St.
