The Los Altos City Council Tuesday unanimously approved the design review and the development agreement application by David and Lucile Packard Foundation for an office building on 343 Second St. in downtown Los Altos, subject to findings and conditions. The foundation’s goal is to consolidate their offices into a new two-story, 45,553-square-foot environmentally responsible building with a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Platinum Certified design. Packard officials hope to break ground later this year and open the building for business by summer 2012. Read more about it in the May 19 issue.
