Lotto lucky in Los Altos

A $1 Scratchers California Lottery game card has netted Los Altos resident Lisa Blanchard $72,000. In January, Blanchard scratched three matching images – she won $2,000 automatically. But the win also netted her an opportunity to compete against 11 other Scratchers winners on the lottery’s TV show, “Make Me a Millionaire.” The show airs 6:30 p.m. Saturday, May 8, on Channel 4. Blanchard said lottery officials randomly picked her name to compete in the show’s “Safe Cracker” game. See the full story in the Town Crier May 12 edition.
