I will never forget how brave you were, Persheca

The trees were turning red and brown when I came home from school that day. I had a pile of homework that my teacher, Mrs. Devil, had given me. I walked up the stairs to my room.

I dug in my homework and found a small coin. It looked old and mossy. I picked it up and as soon as I did a voice spoke, “Sabrina. Age eleven. Murder, ha, ha, ha”. This voice was cold and strong {it made me shiver.} But I was very fascinated with the coin. I could just read the words “Svorshever Cave of Death”.

Suddenly, everything in sight had the word murder written on it. I wanted to scream. But something told me I had to go, go and find this cave of death. Persheca, a stray cat who was very smart, walked in my room as though to tell me I want to come too. I thought I guess I could use a good old cat and so off we went.

We went a long way before reaching the city of Svorshever. I was happy but at the same time nervous. Questions came to my head, who was that voice I heard? Who were the people and were they even people? .

I walked around this drafty old city until I saw a hole of darkness behind some fog. Persheca started hissing strongly. She looked worried all right and scared. Then I knew it that was the Cave of Death. I took a deep breath and walked to the cave. There was a harsh laugh. As I entered, the entrance closed up. The word murder was written everywhere. In front of me stood someone I would know anywhere.

“Mrs. Devil”, I stumbled.

“Yes, sweetie” she mocked in a falsely sweet voice.

“That’s right fool”, I thought, “she slipped that coin in your homework!” Persheca hissed loudly. I talked over her hisses. “Why did you want me?”

“Why do I want you? I don’t want you, you’re here so I can get rid of you”! That voice was that same cold voice that spoke from the coin. She held something in here hand.

“What’s that?” I asked timidly.

“It’s a ray that will clear all of your memorizes”

I gulped. She aimed it at me and before I knew it, Persheca leapt in front of me. Little Persheca was knocked to the ground. Tears swelled up in my eyes as I watched Persheca’s lifeless body on the ground. To my amazement, all the murders written on the wall swirled with color sending beams of energy at the three people and they vaporized and the cave exit opened. As happy as I was about succeeding, I had lost someone very important, someone who saved my memories and gave me comfort and sacrificed herself for me. I will never forget how brave you were, Persheca.
