The city of Los Altos advised local residents to expect delays along I-280 Southbound from Oct. 13-16.
Portions of I-280 will be closed due to maintenance on the Magdalena-Eastbrook Evacuation Route. This route serves northern Los Altos Hills in case of emergency, according to the Los Altos Hills County Fire District.
Maintenance is scheduled to begin on Oct. 12. All work is scheduled for weekdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The statement released by the city of Los Altos highlights the specific areas affected by this closure. On Oct. 13 the southbound El Monte off-ramp will be closed, on Oct. 14 the southbound El Monte on-ramp will be closed and on Oct. 15-16 the southbound Magdalena off-ramp will be closed.
