The Mountain View Day Worker Center, Hope’s Corner and Community Services Agency are among local organizations benefiting from an upcoming fundraising sale featuring used and refurbished bicycles.
From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, shoppers visiting the Silicon Valley Bicycle Ex-change parking lot can choose from an assortment of bikes offered for sale by the nonprofit, located on the Mountain View border at 3961 E. Bayshore Road in Palo Alto. Bike prices start at $150. Accessories, components and frames are also available for purchase.
It’s a “great time for a family to get bikes, just in time for back to school,” an organizer of the event, Andrew Yee said.
Cash and credit cards will be accepted. Face masks are required.
The Silicon Valley Bicycle Exchange got its start in 1993 by repairing bikes for CSA clients. Purchases made at the sale will help the Bicycle Exchange continue its mis-sion of providing transportation to those in need.
