LACF appoints new program coordinator for Community Scholars
The Los Altos Community Foundation named Nan Recker its new program coordinator for the MVLA Community Scholars program.
Operating under the direction of the foundation, the program provides college scholarships and individual mentoring to underserved, high-potential students graduating from the Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District.
“Nan comes to us with a strong background in local school administration, having served in key positions with Bubb and Castro elementary schools’ PTAs, and she has a passion for helping disadvantaged youth,” said Roy Lave, the foundation’s executive director. Recker’s background includes co-founding and serving as co-president of the newly formed Mountain View Whisman Special Education PTA. She is a Mountain View resident.
The Los Altos Community Foundation is a non-profit organization serving Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and surrounding communities.
