The Mountain View Los Altos Union High School District board unanimously approved Nellie Meyer as the district’s next superintendent at their meeting Monday evening.

Meyer – the current superintendent of the Mount Diablo Unified School District – would replace Jeff Harding, who is retiring after four years leading the district.
Meyer has been the Mount Diablo superintendent for six years, according to a press release issued by MVLA. Mount Diablo has more than 32,000 students, spanning kindergarten through 12th grade, and covers seven Contra Costa County municipalities.
Meyer has a doctorate in education from San Diego State University.
Under the three-year contract that the board approved, she will begin July 1 and earn an annual base salary of $302,500.
