Ayelet Gal-On is the featured artist for November at Gallery 9 in downtown Los Altos.
The painter’s latest exhibition, “Women of Harvest and Dreams,” is scheduled to run through Nov. 28.
Gal-On said her work was inspired by classical paintings and modern women in daily life and festive occasions. She used oil paints and acrylic on canvas to realize her vision.
Additionally, she experimented with paper and fabric, adding another dimension to the canvas.
“Women are the focus of this art show, their role in everyday life as well as in mythology,” Gal-On said. “Art is in essence spiritual, and this show straddles the line between the spiritual and the practical.”
Gallery 9 is located at 143 Main St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5 p.m. Sundays.

Viewpoints Gallery
Patricia Accorinti and Vered Binyamini are combining forces for the latest Viewpoints Gallery exhibition, “Sticks & Stones,” which runs through Nov. 28.
Binyamini’s medium is ceramics; Accorinti’s is jewelry.
Binyamini, who grew up in Israel, was raised in an art-loving family, surrounded by sculptures and art books. Her ceramics experience goes back to her teenage years. She hand-builds every piece, resulting in a unique texture and balance for each creation. Traditional techniques of coil building, pinching and slab building are complemented with her signature finish of terra sigillata (clay slip).
Accorinti said she was given “the gift of time” during the pandemic, drawing inspiration from her daily hikes.
“I picked up leaves, small twigs, feathers and small rocks and brought them home,” she said. “They became the inspiration for my latest work.”
Accorinti studied art at San Jose State University and taught jewelry design and photography at Independence High School before becoming a library technology teacher. She continues to make jewelry and take jewelry-making workshops.
Viewpoints Gallery is located at 315 State St. Hours are 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays.
