Legal action flying between charter, LASD

Los Altos School District trustees filed legal action Monday to force Bullis Charter School’s release of student records. Trustees said they have been requesting the records for years to validate the charter school’s space requirements. They also want records to verify the number of charter school students from outside the district (for instance, Mountain View-Whisman) so the district could be reimbursed for costs associated with those students. BCS also filed a motion Aug. 10 seeking $1.3 million from the district for recovery of legal fees during the 2009-2010 school year.
