Rifka Taylor and Taylor Greathead have announced their engagement to be married June 1.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of Harvey Taylor of Salinas and Diane Shapiro Jager of Sun City, Ariz.
She graduated from Los Altos High School and is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in education at California State University, Northridge. She teaches first grade at Stephen S. Wise Elementary School.
The groom-to-be is the son of William and Leslie Greathead of Encino. He graduated from Notre Dame High School, Sherman Oaks. He attended the Los Angeles Film School, where he majored in cinematography. He is employed at “FOX,” Rocket Science and Final Stretch Production.
The couple live in Sherman Oaks.
Boyarski, Freitas
Lisa Boyarski and Woody Freitas have announced their engagement to be married Dec. 30 at St. Simon Church in Los Altos.
The bride-to-be, the daughter of Adam and Loretta Boyarski of Los Altos, is a graduate of St. Francis High School.
The groom-to-be is the son of Kenny and Lois Freitas of Lake Almanor. He graduated from Santa Clara High School.
They both earned bachelor’s degrees from the University of California at Davis and teaching credentials from California State University, Sacramento.
They are employed at Wilcox High School in the Santa Clara Unified School District.
The couple plan to live in San Jose.
