The Los Altos Town Crier needs your subscription. Local newspapers continue to struggle. Your Town Crier is no exception. We need your subscription to stay viable.

If you are not a paid subscriber, we ask you to join with us now. Since 1947, the Town Crier has been published every Wednesday. That’s 78 years. We don’t want to disappear.

Of the 15,500 papers we print, then mail and otherwise distribute every week, less than 25% are paid subscriptions. It is urgent that we increase that percentage and only you can make that happen.

The cost of paper, printing, rent, postage and staff compensation continue to escalate. These costs are necessary to produce the high-quality local newspaper you receive every week.

Out of necessity, we will be increasing our subscription rates on July 1 by $10 per year across the board ($60/year seniors ages 65-plus; $70/year within Santa Clara County; and $80/year out of county. You can subscribe now at our current rates of $50, $60 and $70.

Local newspapers continue to shut down at a rate of nearly two per week. Your Los Altos Town Crier is hyper-focused on local news, sports, events and activities. We are the source for the news you do not and cannot get elsewhere. And please do not forget to patronize our advertisers – they need you, too. Subscribe and help the Town Crier continue.
