Museum holds ‘Catch the Spirit’

Los Altos History Museum invites the community to its annual “Catch the Spirit” event happening noon to 4 p.m. on Nov. 20.

The afternoon of holiday cheer features festive performances by choral group Schola Cantorum and the Volare Choir from Los Altos High School, and an old-fashioned sing-along around the piano with Carole Cameron. Attendees can snack on homemade cookies and treats, tour the historic J. Gilbert Smith House adorned for a 1930s Christmas, and shop for unique gifts at the museum’s boutiques, with every purchase supporting local history.

“This event goes beyond the festivities; it’s a celebration of community that captures the spirit of the season,” said Vicki Holman, the museum’s board president and store manager. “Admission is free, allowing everyone to enjoy the day while making a difference by supporting the museum’s exhibits and programs.”
