This is the last week to catch Bus Barn Stage Company’s production of “The Altos, Like the Sopranos, Only Lower.” The musical spoof is scheduled to close Saturday at the Bus Barn Theater, 97 Hillview Ave., Los Altos.

David Landau’s play is a parody of the popular HBO series “The Sopranos.” The interactive musical is set just before the funeral of Tony Alto (played by George S. Gemette), who was whacked in his car days earlier. The Mafia families gather to pay tribute to Tony while also trying to figure out who killed him.

The audience will play a part in solving the mystery at the end of an evening of stories, songs (lyrics by Nikki Stern) and a few surprise guests.

Characters include Tony’s wife Toffee (Deb Anderson), his psychiatrist Dr. Malaise (Heidi Kobara), Uncle Junior (James Mantell), Nona (Lillian Bogovich) and Father Flip (Nicolae Muntean). Director Jeremy Koerner plays Chris, Tony’s nephew.

Performances are scheduled 7:30 p.m. today and 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday.

Tickets are $24 today, $30 Thursday through Saturday and $26 Sunday. For an additional $5, a limited number of audience members may sit onstage and receive refreshments during the performance. Bus Barn is offering a family rate Saturday nights, $15 for students under 18.
