Their message was received as now the county board has agreed to plan a joint meeting with all parties involved.
After hearing parent input, the county board decided to schedule a joint meeting include representatives from the Los Altos School District and Bullis Charter School boards. County board members Michael Chang (who represents the Los Altos area), Leon Beauchman and Julia Hover-Smoot will represent the county at the joint roundtable.
The agenda and format of the meeting are still to be determined, but county officials said the meeting would most likely happen before the end of April.
“This is an opportunity where we can come together,” Chang said. “It might not lead to much, but we as a board are going to step up to the plate and play our role in bringing the community together. This can be productive, and we can get off on a better foot.”
