The St. Francis football team won 48-7 against Bellarmine Friday.
Cross Country
The Los Altos cross country team won the first Santa Clara Valley Athletic League meet Sept. 24. The boys finished with 37 points, while the girls scored 48 points. For the boys in the 3.1-mile race, Sam Hurst finished in second with a time of 16 minutes, seven seconds, with Taran Davies third 16:12. Miles Sijstermans finished 11th 16:54, Sreyas Kadiyala in 12th 17:02. For the girls, Emily Soobrian finished in third 19:14, Emma Lewis fifth 19:37, Axelle Allanic sixth 19:47 and Samantha Witteles seventh 19:54.
The Mountain View boys and girls team placed third at the SCVAL meet, with the boys scoring 92 and the girls 87. For the boys, Rory Olsen placed 16th in 17:18, Jordan Landaverde 17th 17:20, Kiran Haywood 18th 17:21 and Rowan Gentin 22nd 17:34. Maya Eisenberg for the girls was eighth in 20:16, Ada Bielinska 15th in 20:30, Cassidy Misuraca 17th 20:38 and Shira Kafka 22nd 20:55.
Boys Water Polo
The Los Altos boys water polo team beat Leland 14-11 Saturday and Mountain View 18-6 Thursday. The Eagles (12-3) are first in SCVAL De Anza Division play at 5-0. Mountain View is 2-9 overall.
St. Francis (10-3) beat Santa Cruz 15-9 Thursday.
Girls Water Polo
The Los Altos girls water polo team beat Mountain View 11-5 Thursday. The Eagles (6-4) are 4-2 in SCVAL De Anza Division play, while Mountain View is 1-5.
St. Francis (8-2) beat St. Ignatius 20-17 Wednesday. The Lancers are 2-0 in the West Catholic Athletic League and play Menlo School today.
Field Hockey
St. Francis defeated Presentation 6-0 Thursday to move to a 7-2-2 record.
