The Town Crier is your local, community newspaper in every sense of the word. We are hyper-focused on the news and happenings in Los Altos, Los Altos Hills and Mountain View. The Town Crier is your source of all things happening in our communities. But we can only sustain what we do with your individual and collective support.
The Town Crier is not structured as a non-profit entity like some of our neighboring publications. We also do not receive any municipal funding. We rely on YOU – advertisers and subscribers – to provide the revenue to pay our hard working reporters and editors, our great sales team and our creative and groundbreaking production and graphics team. Like all businesses, we also have rent, insurance, utilities, taxes and all those pesky overhead items to pay every month.
If you are a business – retail, restaurant, realtor or service business – partner with us to expand your income and increase your business. More than 15,000 copies of the newspaper are mailed every Wednesday to homes in our three communities. That is more penetration than any other nearby newspaper. We know it is read online by many, many others. There’s a symbiotic relationship between us and you like no other publication around. Contact [email protected].
As a reader, please subscribe. That small (to you) annual amount adds up for us. Call or email Howard Bischoff at (650) 397-5213, [email protected]. He will help you complete the transaction.
Since 1947, the Town Crier has published every Wednesday (now both print and online). As we begin 2025, support your local, award- winning newspaper. Thank you.
