The Almond Elementary School 2025 walk-a-thon, held Saturday, Oct. 4, brought the community out for its biggest fundraising event of the year.
Students, families and teachers ran, walked and jogged laps while a DJ played music. Pizza and Chef Chu’s chicken salad were available. The walk-a-thon theme was A Minecraft Movie featuring a lava eagle mascot. The special day allowed Almond to raise money for events throughout the year, with all proceeds going to the Almond PTA to be spent on students and teachers. The walk-a-thon is sponsored by the PTA and planned and run by parent volunteers.
