The eighth annual Harvest History Festival drew a steady flow of neighbors and families to Heritage Park in Mountain View on Sept. 26.

Presented by the city of Mountain View and the Kiwanis Club of Mountain View, the festival offered local history, entertainment and a variety of hands-on activities for children.

A popular new addition this year was Animal Assisted Happiness, whose visiting animals delighted children and adults alike. Members of the Mountain View and Homestead High School Key Clubs volunteered throughout the morning, assisting with festival activities and selling raffle tickets.

Proceeds from the raffle will support the two Key Clubs’ service projects and activities during the upcoming school year.

The festival provided a lively morning of history, family fun and community spirit while bringing residents together at one of Mountain View’s treasured historic sites.
