Peek into the Past

Captain Merx’s Fruit House was built in the1890s at Robleda Avenue and Dori Lane in Los Altos Hills. Purissima School held classes there during construction of its one-room schoolhouse in 1901-02. When this image was taken in the 1970s, it was a stable. The building, now a memory, was crushed by a nearby oak in the 2020s.
