What happens when the big one hits?

An earthquake preparedness event is scheduled 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday at the Los Altos main library, 13 S. San Antonio Road.

The United States Geological Survey states there is a 70% chance of a major earthquake in the Bay Area in the next 30 years. Join a small group discussion of what would happen if it occurred tomorrow. Learn how homes could be damaged and services disrupted. Participants will learn what services are actually going to help and what they need to do. This is a free, hands-on, participatory workshop.

No registration is required. There will be an information/resource table and free raffle of emergency supplies.
