Los Altos Community Foundation has scheduled its annual brunch 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 14 at Los Altos Golf & Country Club, 1560 Country Club Drive.
Each year the foundation’s brunch features a buffet followed by a presentation on innovative approaches to addressing local and global issues. Give Local Silicon Valley CEO Catherine Crystal Foster Managing Director Kathy Jackson will discuss “Cracking the Giving Code: Catalyzing New Investments in Silicon Valley Nonprofits.”
Foster, outgoing executive director of the Westly Foundation, and Jackson, former CEO of Second Harvest Food Bank, will be spearheading an initiative to catalyze $100 million in new investment in Silicon Valley community-based nonprofit organizations by building bridges among local nonprofit groups, donors, corporations and government.
