Los Altos resident John Figueroa feels strongly about hearing and hearing loss. To help spread awareness and prevention, he plans to be at Mountain View High School, prior to tonight’s football game, handing out free earbuds. “With the PA system, it does get loud,” he said.
An engineer by trade, Figueroa has done a lot of research into the subject. He’s especially concerned about hearing loss in young children.
Figueroa, who plans to be at the front entrance between 6 p.m. and the start of the game, said he ordered 600 pairs. He’ll be accompanied by a sign saying, “Free earbuds for football boosters.”
