An Evening of Art and Music Morgan Bricca of Murals by Morgan debuts original works of art at The Menu Wine Lounge, Mountain View on September 15, 2012, 7pm
Los Altos, CA – The perfect date night destination: An evening celebrating art and music at the newly opened Vintage Wine Bar at The Menu. Los Altos based mural artist, Morgan Bricca, will be displaying her latest series of local landscape paintings. She will be joined by Los Angeles based singer/songwriter Lily Wilson, performing acoustic songs off her latest highly acclaimed album, Harbour. The event will be held on September 15th starting at 7pm. The paintings will remain on display until October 1, 2012.
In the description of one of her featured paintings, Midsummer Foothills, Morgan states, “There are not many places I pray the traffic light stays red longer, but the intersection at Foothills Expressway and Page Mill Road is one of them. I frequently drive that road, and I always look forward to the pause in my day.” Morgan Bricca has the gift of transforming the mundane into the spectacular. As a muralist she takes plain walls and creates lively scenes. With her new series of stand-alone paintings the artwork preserves these moments of nature that inspire peace. Morgan’s mission is to create powerful, yet peaceful images that anchor people to a strong and beautiful place within themselves.
The reception will feature live music by Lily Wilson. Lily grew up on a ranch in Napa Valley, California, where she taught herself to sing and play the guitar. She was inspired by her parent’s records of Fleetwood Mac, Neil Young, The Beatles, and Janis Joplin. Lily recently won the L.A.
