The board’s action caps an effort by a committee of Angius backers who presented a petition of more than 1,000 signatures in support. The committee also plans to establish a scholarship fund in Dude Angius’ name to support deserving LAHS graduates.
The District and Naming Committee will host a ceremony May 3 to commemorate the gymnasium.
