The Los Altos School District has scheduled a school board meeting Monday (Jan. 30) where district staff will discuss their initial facilities offer for Bullis Charter School for the 2012-2013 school year. The district is required to submit an initial offer by Feb. 1.

District staff said the public meeting is scheduled to start at 6 p.m., but will begin with approximately two hours of trustee training. That means facilities discussion may not begin until approximately 8 p.m.

The California Supreme Court last week declined to hear the Los Altos School District’s appeal on the facilities issue, leaving the district to comply with set guidelines laid out by the Sixth District Court of Appeal in October.

The Court of Appeal ruled that the school district, per Proposition 39, did not provide “reasonably equivalent” space for the charter school and questioned the methods the school district employed to provide comparison data.
