The 21st annual Los Altos Arts & Wine Festival is scheduled 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., July 8 and 9, in downtown Los Altos. The admission-free event will feature the works of more than 400 artists, along with musical entertainment, street performers, children’s activities and a variety of food and drink.

The artists, who will set up booths on Main and State streets, will showcase paintings, photography, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, glass, textile arts, and wood and ceramics, among items for sale.

An estimated 40 multicultural food booths are scheduled to include items ranging from Chinese chicken salad to chicken teriyaki sticks, fruit smoothies and kettle popcorn.

Entertainment is planned for two stages and several street locations, according to organizers, with music ranging from jazz and rock, to reggae, country and oldies. This year’s scheduled top bands include the Braxton Brothers and Big Band Beat.

The popular “KIDZONE,” which includes children’s entertainers, interactive activities and hands-on art, is set to return. Among the new items is a gigantic “Titanic” slide for children and adults alike.

Handicapped parking, a bike valet and a festival shuttle service will be available. The shuttle service will travel between Los Altos High School, where parking will be available, to downtown Los Altos.
