Three Los Altos youths, all Eagle Scouts, leave this summer on mission assignments for their church, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Brian Brown, a 1997 graduate of Los Altos High School, leaves today for Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, where he will receive language and “doctrinal education” before leaving for an assignment in Japan, said Richard Burgan, with the LDS Church.
Chad Packard, a 1997 graduate of Mountain View High School, left July 29 for the training center before leaving for his assignment in Argentina.
Daniel Skeehan, also a 1997 graduate of Mountain View High School, leaves Aug. 26 for his training in Utah before heading out on his mission to Colombia.
The three young men will be gone on their missions for two years, Burgan said.
