Whodunit?, a mystery readers’ discussion group, meets from 10:15-11:30 a.m. today at the Los Altos Library.
The group will discuss “The Wisdom of Father Brown,” by G. K. Chesterton. The public is welcome to attend these monthly sessions. For more information, call the library at 948-7048.
The next monthly meeting will be Sept. 3, when the group will discuss “Cover Her Face,” by P.D. James.
Folks may study or simply snack at the new Friends’ Cafe in the library lobby. The eatery offers food and drinks in a sociable atmosphere. Cafe hours are 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Monday – Thursday; 7 to 9 p.m. Monday; and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Food and drink available include: hot and iced-coffee and tea, hot chocolate, assorted fruit juices, bottled water, bagels, muffins, breads, pastries, biscotti and fruit.
Proceeds from the Friends’ Cafe are donated to the Los Altos and Woodland Libraries to purchase books, videos, furniture and equipment. All purchases are cash only. For more information, call the Los Altos Library at 948-7048.
